It’s A Royal Affair is happy to assist you in capturing your ideas and making your dreams come true.
Our Founder and CEO is Gesunda Royal-Shipp and it is her passion to assist her clients with all of their event planning needs. In 2005 Gesunda founded It’s A Royal Affair in the beautiful Bay Area of California.
It’s A Royal Affair began as a beloved hobby where Gesunda loved assisting dear friends with their special events such as wedding and family celebrations. As the years progressed, so did Gesunda’s vision for It’s A Royal Affair.
It’s A Royal Affair has had the esteemed honor of supporting the City of Oakland with their Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for 15 years which became known as The Community Day of Thanks. It is with this service that she coordinated the celebratory meal annually since 2007. With the help of local sponsors, community support and the faithful support of the Golden State Warriors and their generous players, the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland Athletics; this event fed ten’s of thousands of people. Gesunda was always inspired by the kind hearts of the multitude of volunteers and the sense of community exchanged with our guests, who were those that were Unhoused, Seniors and Families struggling with income.
The event that impacted Gesunda most was coordinating Project Homeless Connect and Project Youth Connect for the City of Oakland. This amazing program provided an opportunity for our guests to receive most services that an individual needs to sustain themselves.
Of all of the events that Gesunda coordinated through It’s A Royal Affair, Winter Wonderland and Operation Backpack with Volunteers of America put the biggest smile in her heart. It is at these events where putting a smile on the hearts of children was the mission. We serviced Foster Youth all over the Bay Area.
It’s A Royal Affair has now relocated to the Great State of Texas and the dream continues.
